Things and stuff.

Lots of things. And some stuff. All of which has happened.

- I got engaged. She's pretty. And awesome. And pretty awesome.
- Her ex went a little nuts and is currently awaiting trial for having pissed off a lot of people with badges.

- I signed up for a marathon. I know, I know, we've played this game before. This time I'm signed up for the Saturday race of the Beat The Blerch Marathon.

Yes, that Blerch. The one from The Oatmeal. If you haven't read The Oatmeal's comic about running you very much need to.

One thing I find really entertaining about the BtB race: the initial race allotment for Sunday filled up stoooopid fast, which was to be expected. When I tried to sign up 14 minutes or so after registration opened, it was already sold out and I was put on a waiting list. So were a bunch of other people. Enough people, it turns out, to convince them to host a second day's races.

On Saturday.

So despite not being one of the first to sign up, I WILL be one of the lucky runners in the first BtB race ever. Even before the people who got to sign up first.

To that end, I've been running again. Not nearly as much as I need to be, but it's a start. Logged just shy of 4 miles today.
